How “THIS IS LOVE” Works

1. Pick Your Spot
Choose your date and time, lock it in, done. Just grab your spot and start thinking about what you want to wear.

2. Show Up and Let’s Have Fun
Come in with a couple of outfits you love. When you arrive, we’ll have a quick chat, feel the vibe, and figure out what direction makes sense for you. Nothing complicated. We keep it easy and natural.

3. The Shoot
This is the fun part. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do. I’ll guide you the whole time. You laugh, get close, move around, be yourselves. We shoot, we joke, and we make cool images without things feeling stiff or awkward.

4. Pick Your Favorites
Right after the session, we sit down and look at the photos together. I’ll help you choose the ones that really feel like you. Your final edited images will be ready by the first week of February.
Who can take part in this experience?
All couples are welcome. Every age, every story, every kind of love. I’ve photographed couples of different genders, backgrounds, styles, tastes, views, and stages of life, and what they all have in common is connection.
The THIS IS LOVE Experience is fun, relaxed, and centered on you as a couple. Not perfection. Not trends. Just what feels real to you. It’s a photo experience designed to celebrate your connection and enjoy the moment together.
Think about how you want to be captured and how you want to remember this moment. What does your love look like right now? My goal is to take everyday couples and give them a memorable, magazine style photoshoot that feels special without feeling forced.
This is about more than just taking pretty pictures. It’s about having fun, slowing down, and celebrating your love the way it deserves to be celebrated.

Why us. Why now?
Hey. I’m Simon Diez, a portrait photographer based in Marysville, WA.
That photo you’re seeing here is my wife and I. We’ve been together for 15 years and we have two beautiful kids. We’re not professional models. Just two people who chose each other and keep choosing each other every day. That picture feels exactly like who we are. I love her and she loves me. That’s really all that matters. With her by my side, I’ve been through hell and back, and I wouldn’t change a second of this journey.
Our idea of a perfect date is simple. Watching movies, laughing at the silliest things, and going to bed way too late because we don’t want the night to end.
Every couple has a different story. Different energy. Different seasons. This experience is about celebrating that in a real and honest way. Not staged. Not forced. Just you and what you share.
”THIS IS LOVE” is one of the most meaningful portrait experiences I’ve created. It’s relaxed, fun, and centered on connection. Whether you’re celebrating a relationship, a milestone, or simply the fact that you’re still choosing each other, even on the days that drive you a little crazy, this session is about documenting that journey.
I truly believe every couple should take the time to create these images. Not just for now, but for later. For those days when you look back, remember the good moments, laugh at the chaos, and realize that after everything, you’re still here together.
