SOME LIGHTS, SOME MAGIC

Saturday, August 23rd - Marysville, WA

Get ready for the most colorful, creative, content-packed day of the summer!

  • The Team

“Some Lights, Some Magic” is truly unique. As a photographer, I feel privileged to work with skillful hair and makeup artists who enhance the beauty of my models. The models themselves are top-notch, bringing their own unique flair and style to each shoot.

  • Hair & Makeup

Hair and makeup are in the hands of the one and only Walace Style—so you already know we’re in good shape. Walace doesn’t just do glam, he brings the whole vibe together. Whether it's a bold editorial look or something soft and glowy, he knows exactly how to elevate the model’s presence and match the mood we’re creating. You’ll see the transformation happen right in front of you, and it adds a whole other level to the images.

  • Wardrobe

As for wardrobe—get ready, because the pieces we’re bringing in are absolutely stunning. Each outfit is handpicked to match the concept, colors, and overall feel of the shoot. From dramatic fashion moments to more minimal, chic looks, the styling will give you tons of variety to work with. It’s all about helping you build scroll-stopping images with everything already dialed in.

  • Lighting

Lighting is essential to any great image—and for this event, we’ve got something extra special: Godox is sending some of their newest and coolest gear for us to play with. It’s a chance to test, explore, and get hands-on with top-of-the-line equipment while we carefully craft each setup to highlight the beauty of our models and the creative scenes we build.

  • Posing

Posing can totally make or break a shot, and we’ll keep it super collaborative. Whether you're used to directing or just figuring it out, we’ll play around with different angles, vibes, and expressions to match the mood of each setup. No stiff, awkward stuff—just real, expressive poses that help the image feel alive and tell a story.

THE EXPERIENCE

If you’re into bold colors, killer lighting setups, and creating images that just hit different, Some Lights, Some Magic is your kind of day. This isn’t just a class—it’s a full-on creative jam session. You’ll get to explore different lighting styles, learn how to build eye-catching scenes, and shoot with models who are ready to bring the energy. We keep the group small so everyone gets personal time—not just to shoot, but to ask questions, get feedback, and really dig into the process.

This is your chance to experiment, try new ideas, and build portfolio pieces that actually look like the kind of work you want to be known for. You’ll be working with a full team—hair, makeup, styling, lighting—all dialed in to give you the kind of environment where you can just focus on creating magic. I’m so pumped to share this experience with you and can’t wait to see what you create when the lights hit just right.

RESERVE YOUR SPOT

The investment for this class is $295. Come and join us on Sunday, July 16 at my studio in Marysville and spend the day creating masterpieces while having a great time!

We'd love to have you all there, but this class is limited to just 12 participants, so it's a first-come, first-served basis, so hurry up and sign up!

We’ll start at 11:00am wrapping around 4:00pm and then we will just hang out and have some fun.

JUST BRING YOUR CAMERA AND

WE’LL TAKE CARE OF THE REST

My team and I will take care of all the technical details: staging, lighting setup, costumes, props and more. All you need is your camera and less of your choice. Personally I recommend prime lenses like 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, but I also use 12-24mm and a 35-150mm so whatever you have on hand will work. Trust me, you don't need top of there line equipment to create amazing images. I used to shoot in my garage with an old Nikon D80 and an 18-55mm kit lens and had a lot of fun working with it.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Born and raised in Lima - Perú, Simon is an artist known for his unique style of Painterly Portraits and impeccable lighting technique.

His work combines a classic and pictorial aesthetic with the delicacy of modern portraiture offering that nostalgic, vintage, and stylized vibe that invites you to stop and appreciate what can be considered a contemporary classic masterpiece.

His color palette refers to classic painters from the Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo periods such as Rafael, Rembrandt, Caravaggio, Velásquez, Rubens, Boucher, Goya, among others.

Simón has proven that the key to success is to do things in the simplest possible way and for that, we have to bear in mind only one thing he always says: "Technique is the mother of art".
