Thank you for choosing The Lounge | Creative Studio.
We are committed to providing a welcoming, enjoyable, and professionally guided portrait experience. To ensure every guest receives the attention and quality they deserve, please review the following Terms & Conditions before booking.
These terms apply to seasonal and special event portrait experiences offered by The Lounge | Creative Studio.

1. Reservations & Payments
All sessions must be reserved in advance through our official booking system.
A booking deposit is required to secure your appointment. The deposit amount, total session price, included services, and applicable sales tax will be displayed during booking.
All booking deposits are applied toward the total session price unless expressly stated otherwise.
The remaining balance must be paid before the photography session begins.
Your reservation is confirmed only after the required payment has been successfully processed.

2. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds
Due to the limited availability of our seasonal portrait experiences, all reservations are final.
Booking deposits are nonrefundable. Client-requested cancellations, missed appointments, and rescheduling are not eligible for refunds or complimentary replacement sessions, except as required by applicable law.
Please ensure your selected date and time work for everyone participating before completing your reservation.
If The Lounge must cancel an appointment due to illness, emergency, equipment failure, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will offer an alternative appointment when reasonably available.
If we cannot provide an acceptable alternative, all payments collected for the canceled session will be refunded.
These terms do not limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

3. Arrival & Punctuality
We recommend arriving approximately 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment, dressed and ready to be photographed.
Sessions begin and end at their scheduled times.
Late arrivals will be photographed during the remaining time of their original appointment.
Appointment times cannot be extended due to late arrivals, wardrobe preparation, or other delays caused by the client or participants.
Failure to arrive for a scheduled session will be considered a missed appointment.

4. Children & Participant Cooperation
Children and families are always welcome.
Parents and legal guardians are responsible for supervising their children throughout the experience and ensuring their safety.
Our team will make reasonable efforts to create a comfortable, relaxed, and enjoyable atmosphere.
However, specific expressions, smiles, poses, eye contact, or participant cooperation cannot be guaranteed.
Crying, shyness, unwillingness to participate, or other circumstances outside the photographer's reasonable control do not automatically qualify a session for a refund, extension, or complimentary reshoot.

5. Guests & Group Size
Each experience may have different limitations regarding the number of participants, available sets, and session duration.
Guests are responsible for accurately providing the number of participants during booking.
Larger groups must receive advance approval when required by the specific experience.
The Lounge reserves the right to adjust posing arrangements or restrict access to certain sets when necessary for safety, available space, or the quality of the experience.

6. Pets
The Lounge welcomes pets during experiences where pets are permitted.
Pet owners are responsible for supervising and controlling their animals at all times.
Please inform us before your appointment if you plan to bring a pet.
For the comfort and safety of all guests, staff members, and animals, we may restrict access to certain props, furniture, or photography areas.

7. Wardrobe, Sets & Personal Items
Clients are encouraged to arrive dressed in their first outfit.
Wardrobe changes are permitted when appropriate but must take place within the scheduled session duration.
Available sets, props, backgrounds, and decorations vary by experience.
The number of sets included in each session will be specified in the booking details.
Additional sets may be offered at the photographer's discretion if sufficient time remains.
Clients are responsible for their personal belongings. The Lounge is not responsible for lost or damaged personal property except to the extent caused by its negligence or other legally actionable conduct.

8. Photography & Artistic Direction
All sessions are photographed and directed according to the professional judgment and artistic style of Simon Diez.
By booking, clients acknowledge familiarity with the photographer's portfolio and artistic approach.
Lighting, posing, composition, color grading, and retouching are performed according to the photographer's professional standards.
Specific poses, expressions, compositions, or exact reproductions of reference photographs are not guaranteed.
We encourage clients to communicate any concerns during the session or image selection experience so they can be addressed whenever reasonably possible.

9. Image Selection
When included in the booked experience, clients will participate in an in-studio image selection process following their photography session.
Clients are responsible for reviewing and confirming their selected portraits.
Additional portraits may be purchased according to the pricing displayed at the time of purchase.
Once selections are confirmed and retouching has begun, changes to the selected images may involve additional charges.

10. Retouching & Final Images
All purchased portraits receive professional retouching consistent with the photographer's artistic style.
Retouching may include adjustments to lighting, color, skin, and other aesthetic details at the photographer's discretion.
Extensive alterations, major background modifications, compositing, or special editing requests are not included unless expressly stated.
Unedited photographs, RAW files, and rejected images are not included in the experience and will not be delivered.

11. Image Delivery
Final portraits will be delivered digitally through a private online gallery or another delivery method specified by The Lounge.
Estimated delivery timelines will be communicated as part of each experience.
While every reasonable effort will be made to meet the stated delivery timeline, unexpected technical or production circumstances may result in delays.
Clients will be notified if a significant delay occurs.

12. Copyright & Personal Usage Rights
All photographs created during the session remain the intellectual property of Simon Diez, subject to applicable copyright law.
Upon full payment, clients receive a nonexclusive license to download, reproduce, print, display, and share their purchased final portraits for personal, noncommercial purposes.
Commercial advertising, resale, licensing to third parties, or other commercial uses require separate written authorization.
A separate Print Release may be provided to confirm the client's personal printing permissions.

13. Model Release & Promotional Usage
Booking a session does not automatically grant The Lounge permission to use a client's photographs for advertising, marketing, social media, exhibitions, or other promotional purposes.
Promotional image usage will be governed by a separate Model Release when authorization is required.
Clients are not required to grant promotional usage rights as a condition of booking a standard portrait experience.
For photographs involving minors, the Model Release must be authorized by an appropriate parent or legal guardian.

14. Studio Safety & Property
Guests must follow all reasonable studio safety instructions.
Lighting equipment, stands, cables, backgrounds, props, decorations, and furniture must not be moved or operated without staff permission.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising minors, and pet owners are responsible for their animals.
Clients may be responsible for damage caused by their intentional or negligent conduct, subject to applicable law.
The Lounge may pause or end an activity that creates an immediate safety risk. Any resulting payment or refund questions will be handled according to the circumstances and applicable law.

15. Personal Photography & Recording
Personal photographs or videos of the studio may be permitted before or after a session with staff approval.
Photography or recording during an active portrait session requires permission from the photographer.
Recording other clients, private sessions, or restricted areas is not permitted without appropriate authorization.

16. Service Concerns & Resolution
Our goal is to provide every client with an enjoyable experience and professionally finished portraits.
Clients are encouraged to communicate concerns as soon as possible, preferably during the session or image selection process.
When a genuine service issue arises, The Lounge will review the circumstances and seek an appropriate resolution, which may include corrections, additional photography, an alternative appointment, or a refund when warranted.
A particular expression, pose, or subjective preference does not automatically establish a failure to provide the contracted service.
Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies available under applicable law.

17. Privacy & Personal Information

Personal information collected during booking and service delivery is used to manage reservations, process payments, communicate with clients, and provide purchased services.
The collection, use, retention, and disclosure of personal information are further described in our separate Privacy Policy.
Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions does not constitute consent to unrelated marketing communications or promotional use of portraits.

18. Changes to These Terms
The Lounge may update these Terms & Conditions periodically.
The version presented and accepted at the time of booking will govern that reservation, unless the parties subsequently agree otherwise or applicable law requires a different result.

19. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, subject to applicable consumer protection laws and any mandatory legal requirements.

20. Acceptance of Terms
By completing a reservation and affirmatively accepting these Terms & Conditions, the booking client acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to review the applicable booking policies, payment requirements, session expectations, and service conditions.

The booking client confirms that they are at least 18 years old and authorized to make the reservation.

These Terms & Conditions are intended to supplement the specific details of the booked experience and any separately executed Portrait Agreement, Model Release, or Print Release.
