SHES BACK!

TWO DAYS. TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT APPROACHES TO LIGHTING

NOVEMBER 8 - 9, 2026 - Marysville, WA

Spend two unforgettable days learning studio lighting live with one of the most recognized photography educators in the industry.

Day One is about creating polished, professional images that clients actually pay for.

Day Two is about breaking the rules, experimenting, and creating images people cannot ignore.

Choose one day or experience both.

DAY ONE

MONEY MAKING LIGHTING SETUPS

Sunday, November 8  |  9:00am - 5:00pm

Great lighting is valuable. Great lighting that makes you money is even better.

Come learn different lighting setups designed for the type of photography clients hire photographers for every single day.

Lindsay will demonstrate practical approaches to lighting for headshots, personal branding, commercial portraiture and other client focused work, showing you how to create clean, polished and professional images without unnecessarily complicated setups.

This workshop is about understanding the lighting, knowing why it works, learning how to modify it and being able to recreate it when a paying client is standing in front of your camera.

You will see how Lindsay approaches different commercial looks, from clean and bright to polished, dramatic and sophisticated, while making intentional decisions about light placement, modifiers, contrast and overall visual style.

You do not need an enormous studio or endless amounts of equipment.
You need control.
You need consistency.
And you need lighting setups you can actually use.

Create Images Clients Want to Buy.

Whether you photograph headshots, entrepreneurs, personal brands, executives, performers, commercial clients or everyday portrait clients, this day is designed to give you lighting ideas you can take back to your own studio and start using.

DAY TWO

CREATIVE STUDIO LIGHTING

Sunday, November 8  |  9:00am - 5:00pm

ENOUGH WITH BORING LIGHTING.

Day Two is where Lindsay Adler throws predictable studio lighting out the window.

This is the day to experiment, take risks, and discover just how far you can push light when you stop playing it safe.

Expect bold color, dramatic shadows, creative modifiers, continuous light, flash, hard light, glowing light, unexpected combinations, and plenty of ideas you probably have not tried before.

Lindsay will show you how she takes simple lighting ideas and transforms them into bold, visually striking images that immediately demand attention.

You will explore different ways to shape light, manipulate color, create patterns, build atmosphere, and combine tools and techniques to produce images that feel fresh, editorial, unexpected, and completely intentional.

STOP MAKING EVERYTHING LOOK THE SAME.

If you already understand the fundamentals of lighting and you are ready to move beyond the standard portrait setup, this is your day.

This is not about adding more lights just for the sake of making things complicated.

Sometimes it is one modifier. One color. One shadow. One strange idea. One unexpected decision that completely changes the photograph.

Lindsay will show you how to recognize those possibilities and turn them into images that stand out.

The goal is not to copy Lindsay's style.

The goal is to expand the way you think about light, give you new creative tools, and inspire you to create work that feels unmistakably yours.

BREAK THE RULES. PUSH THE LIGHT. CREATE SOMETHING PEOPLE CANNOT IGNORE.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING TO THESE WORKSHOPS?

To make the most of these workshops, bring your camera, along with memory cards and enough batteries for the entire day. You do not need to worry about lighting equipment or modifiers, as all of the lighting gear will already be set up and ready to use.

Please do not bring a tripod, as it can block the view and limit movement for other attendees. If you need stabilization, a monopod is a great alternative.

Lighting, sets, wardrobe, and accessories will all be prepared so you can focus on learning and creating.

As for lenses, a versatile zoom is ideal. Lindsay often works with a 24 to 105mm f/2.8, which gives her plenty of flexibility for everything from wider compositions to tighter portraits. If you have something similar, perfect. A 24 to 70mm, 28 to 75mm, 35 to 150mm, or even prime lenses such as a 35mm, 50mm, or 85mm will also work very well.

You do not need to own the exact same lens Lindsay uses. Bring the lens you are most comfortable working with and focus on the lighting, technique, and creative process.
